General’s Wine and History Trail 2009 Campaign Winners Announced
With a great inaugural year behind, The General’s Wine and History Trail
announced the winners of the 2009 campaign. The grand prize, a one
night stay at the well known Auberge Provencal in
White Post, Virginia was won by Dave and Kathy Scarbalis
of Fairfax, Virginia. Terri Hauser of Alexandria, Virginia took the second prize, a $75 gift
certificate from The General’s Wine and History Trail.
To be entered into the prize drawing campaigners had to visit each of the 10
wineries along The General’s Wine and History Trail and get their Campaign
Journal stamped by each. Completed Campaign Journals were then thrown into a
large chest for the drawing.
Plan a day or weekend to visit the wineries on the General's Wine &
History trail, where history and wine come together. As you drive from winery
to winery, you'll enjoy the picturesque views and savor a moment in history.
The General’s Wine and History Trail blends ten great wineries with the rich
civil war history of the Northern Virginia area. Further information on the
trail can be obtained at www.thegeneralswinetrail.com
