REGULAR TOUR SCHEDULE
Vineyard / Winery Tours
BEGINNING on Sunday, May 9th, 2010: We have
“Winemaker Walkabouts” as our vineyard / winery tours.
These are on Sundays, start at approximately 2 PM, are by reservation (space is
limited), and will include a souvenir wine glass, a tasting after the
tour, and a 10% discount on all wine purchased. The tour is usually led by
our winemaker but occasionally may be led by a member of the
winemaker’s team. The tour consists of a stroll through the vines, with
stops along the way to point out various aspects of how vines and grapes grow
and how we manage the vineyard and provide time for asking questions. This
“walkabout” through the vineyard leads to the winery itself. Here
the tour leader will point out the key equipment and give a quick overview of
red and white winemaking at Three Fox Vineyards. If there is a suitable wine
in tank or barrel then a tank / barrel tasting will be included in the tour
(participants should bring along their souvenir glasses for this). After the winery the tour will head back
along the scenic route (up over the high hill past the “Table in the
Sky”) and down to the Tasting Room.
Total tour time is estimated at 45 minutes and should bring the tour
participants into the Tasting Room going on 3 PM to enjoy their tasting of our
delicious, hand crafted wines. The fee
for this fun and educational tour is $15 per person.
Please check our events page to confirm whether tours are scheduled for
the coming weekend as weather does affect this program. Organized Groups can also
book this tour but NOT at the 2 PM Sunday time as that is reserved
for individuals wanting to participate. Group tour and tasting information is
provided below.
WE’RE DOG AND PET
FRIENDLY!
Well socialized dogs and
other well socialized companion animals are welcome at Three Fox Vineyards.
If you have ANY concern about your dog’s getting along with other dogs
or people please simply keep your buddy leashed and under your supervision.
As anywhere else, please do remember to clean up after man’s best
friend! We do keep a water dish by the
Tasting Room door and some dog treats for our canine visitors!
INFORMATION FOR GROUP TASTINGS
AND TOURS
This information is for
organized groups of 8 or more. Here at Three Fox, we welcome such groups to
come and enjoy a tour of the winery, vineyards and have a special tasting
with the vintner.
We can
accommodate groups of up to 50. Bus tours are welcome until 2
PM. Weather permitting; a reserved tasting area will be set up outdoors,
typically in or next to our vineyard. We also have a tented patio which can
accommodate up to 20 people. In case of inclement weather larger groups will
be set up in the winery. Please note that currently, our winery and tasting
room are in separate buildings.
Please note: VA law requires that no outside
alcohol be consumed on our premises and that we not serve any person who
appears to us to be intoxicated. Please help us abide by the law. Wine
purchased at another winery may remain in your vehicle or bus while you enjoy
your time at Three Fox Vineyards.
We offer several
different options for group tastings and tours..
Private Tasting
(Reservations and 50% Deposit Required for groups of 8 or more)
Reserved, private tasting hosted by our winemaker, asst. winemaker, or
tasting room manager. Souvenir glass included. Group Tasting Fees Begin at
$10 per person and increase based on size of group. Some group sizes require minimum wine purchase. Patios can be reserved for a fee.
Tasting Add-Ons
A. Light Fare(i.e. cheese and crackers) : $3 per person
B. Barrel Tasting(season
permitting) : $5 per person
C. Add on of Guest Wine:
$2 per person
All groups of 8 or more must
have reservation along with a 50% deposit for their tasting fees. Please call
